I came across Unni Boksasp and Ranarim after playing at a festival in Norway in 2009, and have been really excited by Scandinavian music ever since. Alasdair Roberts, besides his song writing abilities, has an amazing skill for unearthing great traditional songs. A friend of mine introduced me to the Bert Jansch track a few months ago and it has become a bit of a soundtrack to my year. Julie Murphy and Tim Eriksen are long term heroes of mine. Finally the Eliza Carthy track and Lykke Li are 2 songs that I've stumbled across very recently and have an emotional effect on me. ...show less
