there’s also this “Sufjan Stevens Get Behind Me Santa for Xmas Charts” campaign. Not so much about number 1, just about getting good music infront of the masses - 6music and many others already behind the campaign.

I love Sufjan Stevens sen
Xmas charts used to be talked about all the way up to the last minute. In recent years this hasn’t happened. Until now….everyone’s talking about RATM vs Joe
It’s all good fun
We need real musical talent being heard everywhere. Musicians who work hard and produce their own music and not karaoke cover songs.
Take the X-Factor winner Joe.
I watch the show and enjoy it. He’s a really good singer but is releasing a cover of a song that was only released by Miley Cyrus about 9 months ago.
Good luck to him

The campaign was a success and RATM reached #1. Fantastic
People realised that this was serious competition after many members joining the Facebook group. The band gave there support behind it and their fans.
A few days into the sales of the song. RATM announced that the profits they make from the sale of the single will also go towards Shelter and also Youth music UK.
Merry christmas
