Whether you're having a big night out or a quiet night in, we've got the soundtracks sorted. Check out this gaggle of weekend mixtape masterpieces.

Melodic Technomasterpieces

We get proceedings under way with this peach of a playlist from SMP user vin1979, who's compiled of his "favourite melodic techno tunes with a hint of french electro". Over 125 top-class dance tracks here, that's over 24 hours worth of music. Super.

Strictly BASS... 35

Lacking motivation this weekend? Got no get-up-and-go? Allow SMP's resident bassman syknyk to help out. Cypress Hill, Rusko, Diplo, Bratkilla, Adventure Club and many more besides star in Strictly BASS... 35. More sub-troubling mischief from syknyk can be found here.

Deep House for Summer Siestas

Reggie Prim's pulled an absolute beauty out of the bag: "Beautiful deep house, chill and ambient." Perfect music to soundtrack your pre-party, after-party or, as Reggie recommends, to listen to while "doing absolutely nothing." Sounds good to us.

Deep Chill Minimal Electro House

Bellinis has also put together a sumptuous collection of deep, groovy house. Productions from Sebo K, Anthony Collins, Roberto Rodriguez, Tony Blunt and many, many more – 54 tracks more, to be precise. That's over 13 hours of the classiest dance music around.

Long live the mixtape!
