British music and world music. Indie legends and the indie fairy. It's featured playlists time...

Music Map of Great British Bands

Join us, won't you, as we take a musical journey through Great Britain. Our tour guide is Pello, who will lead us through the Isles of Wonder, stopping off Liverpool and Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff, and pretty much everywhere in between. Great idea. Great playlist. And check out the map to with it.

August 2012 - Acid Jazz Hispano

"Apologies for the delay this month," say Acid Jazz Hispano. We forgive them. This month's mixtape is a cracker. From De La Soul and Jurassic 5, to Crazy P and Matthew Herbert, to Nina Simone and D'Angelo, this mixtape is class throughout. Always eclectic. Always brilliant.

Blur - Live Setlist (2012)

Didn't make it to Blur's reunion tour/did you go to one of Blur's reunion tour gigs? SMP user Mrbillywhite has put together this playlist of their average setlist. It's almost as if you were there/you can enjoy the gig all over again. From Girls and Boys to the Universal, it's an incredible body of work.

The Indie Fairy VOL 1

Jokke Samen tells us, "If a hipster lose his/her tooth" they should  "put this [playlist] under his/hers pillow." It's an odd concept, granted. But we like it. "The Indie Fairy always makes sure to ease the pain with strange indie mixes and carefully selected songs," he adds. Sounds good to us.

Long live the mixtape!
