Prince, The songs that made him a King!
"The songs that made Prince a king," goes the pithy tagline to this mixtape from WarnerMusicAU. As well as tracks written for the the Bangles, Chaka Khan, Sinead O'Connor, Tom Jones and Stevie nicks, among others, this playlist features a plethora of classics from the man himself, including Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret and I Would Die 4 U.

Digster I'M SO NOT GUILTY PLEASURES
Now, SMP has either got terrible taste in music, or these tracks are in no way guilty pleasures: the Proclaimers – 500 Miles; Daft Punk – Around the World; Natalie Imbruglia – Torn... These are classics, surely. Swift, Cyrus and Bieber, on the other hand... Another cracking mixtape from Digster.

We really like this creative mixtape from rachelmercer, "developed to embody the essence of the DC Universe Character The Flash." The themes are "speed, energy, kinetic". Artists include Tokyo Police Club, Metronomy, Nada Surf, Justice and more. A great idea, well executed.

We've received a flurry of 80s mixtapes recently – few better than this one created by baba booya (great name). That Dirty 80s Sound, as the name suggests, is all about "Recreating the epic noises of the worst decade for fashion, but best for catchy hooks." A ton of 80s-imbued contemporary artists feature here, from M83 and Daft Punk, to the Knife and Little Dragon.
Long live the mixtape!
