New SMP Android app!

Hot on the heels of our Spotify app and iOS app, we're thrilled to unveil our brand spanking new Android app – out today!

All of our most popular features – such as hand-picked featured playlists and our Top 50 Playlist Charts – are now accessible on your Android devices. (Remember: you must have a premium Spotify account and the Spotify Android app installed for playback to work.)

So. What features can you expect form the app?

Simple playback: hit play on any playlist in the app and the playlist will load in Spotify.

Featured playlists: the cream of the crop  – our very best playlists, selected and reviewed by our editorial team. This is the default view of playlists within the app.

Top 50 Playlists Chart: updated automatically each Monday, we publish the top 50 most popular playlists each week in chart format. Has you playlist made it? This is where you'll find out. 

Genre Browsing: browse our full catalogue of playlists by genre – from alternative, to classical and everything in-between.

Search: you can filter how you search for playlists – “Featured”, “Most Played” or “Latest”.

You can also view all custom playlist artwork and descriptions within the app, and easily share playlists with your social networks.
