I have heard the blanket statement “I hate country music” from so many card-carrying Hipsters that I feel the need to step in. Automatically dismissing an entire genre of music is just plain silly. Hipster’s need to be well rounded, if only to keep their “I know more obscure stuff than you” cred! Even Hipster gods Radiohead are a fan of some country. If you don’t believe me, seek out their amazing cover of Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

This playlist includes songs from all aspects of country, including honky tonk, hillbilly, rockabilly, Western swing, roots rock, alt-country, folk, bluegrass and, yes, even pop. I swear, it is ok for a Hipster to like Taylor Swift, with or without the irony (the secret is to not apologize for it.)
