Had a lot of fun putting this playlist together..some great songs and some great memories.
I avoided featuring the same artist twice and some do not strictly fall within the accepted ‘britpop’ era however I do not believe that music can be neatly compartmentalised into periods of the time.
If I have made any glaring omissions please let me know!
Enjoy!

Absolutely brilliant!
Good choice. Very good choice.
Although, I think Teardrop should have been left out. As amazing as it is, I don’t think it fits the “britpop” category. It should be in with the rest of massive attack, and portishead in a trip hop frenzy.
Also, I reckon Blur’s Bang would have been a better choice than Girls and Boys.

Hi Nathan;
Thanks for the response. Teardrop was a last minute addition and you are right it doesn’t dovetail nicely with the other tracks but I guess as it’s influence by what I was listening to at the time it made it on there!
EDIT: Teardrop has been ‘tear-dropped’ from the playlist and replaced with ‘Early Years’ by The Auteurs
As for Blur, I simply felt that their one track on this playlist had to come from Parklife.
I wanted to include ‘There’s no other way’ but thought anything off Leisure would be greeted with cries of too early! (At least too early considering Blur’s later contribution to ‘Britpop’ as I know I have included earlier tracks!)

Top list. Interesting choice re: Oasis. I thought Roll With It would be the obvious choice given the whole Blur vs Oasis thing.
Good to see Embrace getting a little recognition too!
