BIO The Bassist is no stranger to the Northwest US broken beats community. He has been spinning records since 98 and has had the opportunity to play on many international dance floors. His extensive musical background ranges from playing various music instruments to producing exciting and energetic electronic music.

He relocated to Portland, OR in 2003 after being part of the "Essential Drum & Bass" crew in Barcelona, Spain. In 2004 he then started "Madkraft", a drum n' bass project alongside Invid and Mecca quickly becoming a staple in the Northwest DnB scene. In 2007 he began a transition towards Dubstep and since then this genre has become his passion. His debut vinyl release with the infamous tune "Rub A Dub" (collaboration with Roommate) came out in 2009 and went straight to the charts for a few weeks.

Since then, many solid releases followed on labels such as Terminal Dusk, Vicious Audio, Bassism and SPL's Hollow Point, to name a few. 2010 has been an exciting journey for The Bassist with many releases, both solo and collaborations with Triage and SPL, a bunch of remixes, stateside appearances and a European tour scheduled for the end of the year. With explosive DJ sets that are considered to be amongst the best in the scene and many releases to come in 2011, the future is looking very promising for The Bassist.
