While experimenting with different artist names including Chico Slamm, Sagat, Blacksam and Blackstar Oneson, Sagatmanchu developed a wide array of M.C. styles including Word Play, Word Bending, Braggadocio, Battle Rapping, Commentating and Simile / Metaphor. Being very musically inclined, had perfected different deliveries or "lyrical rhythms" or "flow". Also being fluent in Spanish or Castellano made it easier to experiment with the other Romantic Languages including French, Italian and Portuguese.
Beginning in 1989 Sagatmanchu has shared stages with long list of Artists on stages in Baltimore and D.C. Being more inclined to studio recording and aspiring to an Artist Recording Contract, Sagatmanchu worked on perfecting various styles of Rap, and Spoken Word. In 1993, Sagatmanchu wrote a song titled "Fuk Dat" and it became an Underground Smash. After signing a record deal with Maxi Records, Sagatmanchu made a cleaner version of the song titled "Funk Dat" which was intended for Radio. ...show less
