They were acknowleged by Leonard Cohen in SPIN for covering his "Master Song." Maximum Rock'n'Roll ran a feature interview with the band and covered their performances and releases. They contributed to compilation albums and Ruin's vinyl releases of that time, "HE-HO" and "Fiat Lux" were later compiled for a CD reissue in 1996 titled, "Songs of Reverie and Ruin." This stimulated a brief reunion during 1996-1997, which resulted in a performance as the headling act at the Trocadero in Philadelphia. Recordings still show up on ebay from time to time. They formed their original lineup in early 2005 as a three piece; including Richard Carey (Guitar/Vocals), Craig Carey (Drums) and Ken Vought (Guitar). Kevin Whitman (bass) joined the lineup in the summer of 07 at the Hands of Enmity CD release party."Hands of Enmity" is a raw selection of songs that range from speedy, thrashing madness to melodic guitars with soulful leads. Although Ruin is a newer band on the scene, they continue to gain new fans at every show and are constantly expanding, catching the attention of local radio stations and playing opening slots for the incoming national metal bands. The band is currently playing shows in the Portland Maine area to support the debut album, and branching out into northern Maine and New Hampshire. ...show less
