Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three is an old school rap group that is best known for their single "The Roof Is on Fire" that was copied by many. They all grew up in the Bronx of NYC. Three of the members lived in the same building on Webster ave. Before they became a rap group - they were doing their own thing.

Richard aka Slick Rick and Gregory aka MBG were hangout partners. They played sports together while Charles aka Charlie Prince was in the house playing music and watching them from out the window as they played football; baseball etc. Richard was also into music, played drums mixed music and was with another group, but it was never known to Charles. Now Gregory on the other hand was a photogragher and still is til this day had a knowledge of both of these guys and decided to put them two together for a show performance in New Haven CT.

at a club called the (Le Joint) run by his cousins Cody and Andre. Richard did not want anything to do with Charles due to the fact they had a discrepancy over his childhood sweetheart.
