Quire are a community choir from Colchester, Essex. Founded in 2004 by Bill Tamblyn, the group now numbers well over 50 members, and has released three CDs - Pilgrim, Festival and Shout! Quire's repertoire is very broad, encompassing songs from Africa, the Pacific Rim, Europe and the Caribbean. It also has a special interest in American shape-note (fasola) and spiritual music, as well as modern Hispano-American church music.
