Hela Hela is more than just a new album. On this record Ad van Meurs, Haytham Safia and Anne-Maarten van Heuvelen show that they are true masters of this new genre they created and they playfully ad an African flavour to the blend. The band takes the listener on a musical journey across several continents. On Hela Hela you find Palestinian guest musicians Morad Khoury on violin, and Shereene Danial as guest vocalist which ad strength and depth to the combination of American and Arabic musical tradition.

This comes together perfectly in the title track Hela Hela based on a traditional Arabic work song and an American counterpart. This is the ultimate appeal to the world for working together. .Ankie Keultjes is sound engineer and sings backing vocals on many NO blues songs. She also helped producing the records and she sings lead vocals about vulnerability and budding love in Breaking the chain. ...show less
