from the 7 minute brutal "butterfly dancer" to the trippy "discovered on birthday", this is an album of compelling, emotive, cleverly crafted rock music. thunderous multi time change bass and drums are overlaid with weighty guitars and the uniquely powerful rock vocals of singer/guitarist marko bach. but, what the band do best is draw on the best aspects of rock and metal without ever forgetting the importance of a good tune. whilst some of the bands influences are clear - kyuss, tool, helmet - their obvious song writing ability also draws on the likes of qotsa and the who. ...show less
