don't be Scared, it's not only one song (like most of other one man band) that repeats over and over... it's a fantastic view in the work and music of john schoolEy, definitely inspired by old Blues music such as Elmore James or Robert Johnson does Schooley uses all the new part of blues and minimal Blues Trash as well in his songs... so it's a frenetic wild mix of music from Hasil Adkins over the White Stripes to Joe Hill Louis over the the Oblivians cover art by the one and only Rob Jones (white Stripes) and believe me, this boy has the Blues pretty bad and he's pissed off about it, and pissed off about Almost everything... playing raw wild at the edge Rock'n'Roll and blues trash Details of the early life of John Schooley are sketchy, and historians are still unsure of many of the details.

Various sources place his birth either in Columbus, Ohio or Vancouver, British Columbia. We do know that his family moved to the rural enclave of Niangua, Missouri when he was still quite young. His parents were small farmers, barely scratching out a living from the rocky soil of the Ozark Mountains. The youngest of eight or possibly nine siblings, John Schooley did not take to farming, or, apparently, work of any kind. ...show less
