Jerry Hey (born in Dixon, Illinois, USA in 1950) is an American trumpeter, flugelhornist, horn arranger, string arranger, orchestrator and session musician who has played on hundreds of commercial recordings, including Thriller. He is known as the Seawind trumpeter and arranger who plays with Gary Grant, Larry Williams and Bill Reichenbach Jr... His parents were well known in the area for their involvement in music. While in college, Hey studied under Bill Adam at Indiana University. In 1982 he and Quincy Jones received a Grammy Award as (arrangers) in the category # Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocal(s) - for "Ai No Corrida" performed by Quincy Jones.
