There are at least 8 bands called Jaguar: 1) A NWOBHM band formed in Bristol, England who had moderate success throughout Europe and Asia in the early 80's. Aside from The Destroyer on DHR, full-length solo releases during this period were otherwise mostly experimental techno on Mille Plateux (under Alec's own name), on top of numerous breakbeat/breakcore side-projects on Riot Beats as E.C.P., among others. 4) A Portuguese indie-pop band. They have recorded a demo in k7 and the first album self-titled in the indie label Bee Keeper.
Then in lemon editions they have released the second album "Pop-Yen" in 2002 http://www.myspace.com/osjaguar 5) A long-distance experimental trio hailing partially from both Eastern and Western Washington State as well as upstate New York. Released some (now deleted) short releases through Idaho-based independant record label Flexible Records (flexiblerecords.com) in the summer of 2006 6) The Icelandic Retro Funk band Jagúar is located at http://www.last.fm/music/Jag%C3%BAar 7) UK trio band formed in London with Malcolm Carson (vocals/guitar), Tam Johnston (drums/vocals), and Julian Carr (bass), active in 1997-1998. forced to change their name from Jaguar to Carson. 8) Danish rock band active from 2002-2005. ...show less
