The Hungry Dog Brand were formed in 2003 by Martin Dowsing (aka Hungry Dog). At the end of 2004 they released The Red Scarf EP, produced by the near-legendary Wreckless Eric. Since then, they have been building up a strong cult following, especially as host band of the "No Wankers Aloud" nights at the 12 Bar Club in London's Tin Pan Alley. They describe their music as "very English sounding fictional narrative-based songs in a new wave / garage rock style with a touch of seaside gothic..." Debut album "Boy Meets Dog" is a collaboration with American alt-blues maverick Preacher Boy. It features 12 songs in various genres from punk-pop to folk ballads via gothic trip-hop and stomping garage rock. The album is produced and arranged by Preacher Boy, who also plays guitar on a number of tracks. Also featured are members of Little Sparta, Morton Valence, and Charlotte Hatherley's band.
