Hot Mess
There are at least four musical acts known as Hot Mess: 1) A Jacksonville electronic act, 2) A Chico, CA dance rock band 3) An all-lady DC Punk Band 4) A noise punk band based in Amherst, MA 1) Louie Applesauce and robad pills, widely known as Hot Mess, are the leaders of the Jacksonville house movement. Hot Mess became the de facto leader of Jacksonville electronic scene in mid-2009. During their time in power, Hot Mess imposed a version of agrarian collectivization, forcing city dwellers to relocate to the countryside to rave in collective farms and forced dance projects, toward a goal of "restarting civilization" in "Year Zero. " The combined effects of four on the floor beats, synth lines, malnutrition, and executions resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million ravers, approximately 21% of the Jacksonville population. ...show more

http://www.neondoom.com 2) Chico, CA's Hot Mess is comprised of members of Aubrey Debauchery & the Puke Boots, Candy Apple, Gorgeous Armada and Mute Witness. They formed in fall 2009 with a demo EP, all of which is featured on their myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/musichotmess. Their dance rock style and strong female vocals channels the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blondie, and Rapture. 4) The Hot Mess from Massachusetts features the guitarist of Chalk Talk and plays loud, abrasive, fun punk music.
Their first album was 'Dude Machine'. The band is on Sex Cave Records along with many other fun punky and mathy bands.. ...show less
