Coastal Cities have been a band since March 2009 and have been playing the local gig circuit for just over a year. Their Indie Dance sound is not dissimilar to that of Maths Class, Foals or Friendly Fires. It was only when they had played their first show that they thought they should continue. Their sound is almost deliberately outside local music scene (which is much heavier) combining tacky lyrics and pumping off beat rhythms and the tracks are danceable and incredibly catchy.
