Chelonis R. Jones is an American artist of the old school tradition - leaving NYC for Europe, in order to pursue a career in the world of The Arts. Equipped with paintbrushes, unpublished manuscripts, songs and poems, he decided to commit himself fully to the world of Art as a provocative revamping of the nearly extinct Total Artist. Working as a songwriter and playing vocalist in more than twenty rock/pop groups, eventually entering the vernissage artshow-world with "American Anarchist" and "The Dream" luring controversial praise from top art magazines like Monopol in the process! 2001 he was introduced and signed to Get Physical Music from the start! and Booka Shade, started the ball rolling. 2003 followed the deep house anthem "I Don´t Know?" which topped the all playlists and the Belgian dance charts twice(!), and put the artist on the map, with thousands of broken, or joyous hearts to respond and relate. Both singles became unforgettable house classics, and an electropop maverick was born. 2005 ignited the self produced, controversial, lo-fi masterpiece "Disclocated Genius" which also dons an original canvas work cover and until 2008 he worked with many giants of electronic music like Röyksopp, Corrugated Tunnel, Booka Shade, Hell, Marc Romboy and many more -WOW! 2008 introduced the cd release of "The Forgotten Floor" project (with Alex Dandi) 2009 was the the year of a label change to Systematic, and the cd release of the 3rd highly acclaimed dark diamond: "Chatterton" After endless live shows, over 60+ featuring recordings with the likes of Spektre, Oliver Huntemann and Booka Shade, Röyksopp, etc.
