Burnkit2600 has carved a niche for itself in the circuit-bending and 8-bit music underground by combining the worlds of noise music and freeform electronic jams with electro-pop sensibilities. In addition to innovative musicianship, the group offers free information and tutorials on their website, demystifying their baffling instruments and encouraging others to join in the fun. Burnkit2600 have had the unique pleasure of performing at every annual New York City Bent Festival since it's inception in 2004 as well as at various art & rock festivals and venues throughout Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. Given the group's unique background, they have been widely acclaimed by hipsters and hard core music nerds of all types, prompting unusual releases like the group's single, 'Weapons of Past Distractions,' heralded as the world's first original music on an obsolete Atari 2600 cartridge.
