Atle Borgeteien is in a grumpy mood, as he has worn down his second copy of "Hunting High and Low", while Anders Finslo is head banging away to Napalm Death. Blind Archery Clubs´ happy childhood days are definitely over, and that the group of friends from Follo has grown up is solidly proven by their debut album The Union. It has been a year since their first studio session. During the recording period BAC, with their flat structure, had to grind their imagination in order to satisfy every band members´ preference.
They have sought out the strangest locations in the pursuit of noble sounds and exquisite rings; Their piano has been moved in and out of churches and experience quite an adventure. To give his voice a hoarse touch, Pelle - after a night of mean whiskey, shagged tobacco and two hours of sleep - was voluntarily forced into the the studio to lay down the vocals for the tittle track of the album. Conceiving The Union became an obsession for the band, and they have done everything possible to give you the perfect sound of their own pop universe. And this thoroughness, combined with a rare musical sense and a collective band spirit, make The Union close to a musical utopia filled to the brim with details and deep water pearls, along with a grounded springlike drive. ...show less
