Animatek
Animatek is one of the main exponents on the spanish experimental techno scene. In 1993 starts as former part of the band Brainrack, where he makes several shows around Andalucia, being even in the line up with Chemical Brothers and playing on big festivals like Esparrago Rock. Animatek is one of the main exponents on the spanish experimental techno scene. In 1993 starts as former part of the band Brainrack, where he makes several shows around Andalucia, being even in the line up with Chemical Brothers and playing on big festivals like Esparrago Rock. Known as Javik, he started to use the name Animatek only for his live sets. He was included on Eduardo de la Calle´s label first release (Recorder), together with Groof.
Now he combine his studioworks with the webmastering of www.animatek.net, a web focused on electronic music and now is working on different projects at the netlabel www.miga-label.org. He had the chance to share line up with artists like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Dave Tarrida, Misstress Barbara, Steve Bug, Jeff Samuel, Sideral, Ellen Allien, Cosili, Wandler, Önur Özer or Dirk Diggler. In october 2005 he make his first international gig to the swiss club Bésamemucho, on the anniversary of Motocross (a series of parties organised by Audioasyl.net), and he even had to come back in 2006, this time to Zurich for the release party of the first works of the label Motoguzzi Records. At the end of 2006 goes again abroad to make his first live sets in London and Berlin.
He was the first playing at RADAR, an idea from Injekt.net to transmit live acts from remote studios worldwide. He is producing for the netlabel Miga (www.miga-label.org), where he had his own release [Miga03] "Capibara Tracks", a remix from Intelec´s theme "Smog" on [Miga 11] "Esquemático" and his collaboration with the track "Buzims" on the compilation [Miga 10] "Exponencial". In 2006 also has released three tracks for Motoguzzi Records, on the three first references of this new label: two remixes and an original track called "My life for a moog" (Mz03) together with the swiss producers Cosili & Wandler (www.motoguzzirecords.com).
