Amy Rigby
Amy Rigby (born Amelia McMahon in Pittsburgh in 1959) is an American singer-songwriter. During the late 1980s and early 1990s Rigby began recording with New York bands The Shams and Last Roundup. In 2008 she recorded an album as Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby with her second husband, Wreckless Eric. Rigby makes terrific, all-too-overlooked roots-pop records that nail the likes of class, men and "middlescence" with wit, grace and self-deprecating charm. At her quotidian best, though, she sings the song of herself, conveying the blues, as lived by urbanites and suburbanites, like a certified niece of Loretta Lynn.. ...show less
