  Jonathan Davis (born April 10, 1970 in Harlem, New York), also known by his stage names Q-Tip, Kamaal the Abstract and The Abstract Poetic, is an American Grammy Award winning rapper, actor, producer and the former leader of the group A Tribe Called Quest. He converted to Islam in the mid-1990s and changed his name to Kamaal Ibn John Fareed. He later moved to Jamaica, Queens, New York as a child. As referenced in the song "Check the Rhime", he mostly resided at Linden Boulevard.

  Quad City DJ's

  Quad City DJ's is the duo of musical artists and producers C.C. Lemonhead (Nathaniel Orange) and Jay Ski (Johnny McGowan), who produced the Miami bass hit "C'mon N' Ride It (The Train)" in 1995. Songfacts states the vocalist on "C'mon N' Ride It (The Train)" was JeLana LaFleur, enjoying her 15 minutes of fame. The two first partnered in 1992 during high school in Jacksonville, Florida.

  Quadron is a Denmark-based neo-soul duo, formed late July 2009, of Coco Malaika (vocals - aka COCO O.) & Robin Braun (music / production - aka Robin Hannibal) - both members of Boom Clap Bachelors. They released their début, Quadron, in 2010. Previously Coco has sung backup for Danish soul artist Karen, and Robin has been collaborating with Nobody Beats The Beats, Clemens, Jokeren & L.O.C..   Quasimoto

  Quasimoto, producer Madlib's alter ego emcee, hails from Oxnard, California. One day in the studio, Madlib decided to rap to his own beats. He didn't like the sound of his voice (his friends in Oxnard call him 'Barry White' in reference to his deep voice) so decided pitch the vocals up while recording to produce Quasimoto's distinctive high pitched voice. The debut album was conceived and recorded by Madlib during a week long psilocybin mushroom binge.

  Queen Ifrica

  Queen Ifrica, royal empress, also known as Fyah Muma, took the music world by surprise, when in 1995 she turned on a scorcher of a performance in a talent contest at the aptly named Club Inferno in Montego Bay. The Queen beat all other contestants to win by a landslide. Her baptism in the business included a performance on Reggae Sumfest's Singer's Nite; coming onstage after a blazing set by Buju Banton, Queen Ifrica was not overawed by the occasion, but succeeded in commanding a good reception to her message. Queen Ifrica joined the Flames Production camp in 1998 when, at a show in honour of the late Garnett Silk, Tony Rebel hearing the clean vocals and the unmistakable quality of her performance, asked her to join the Flames camp.

  Dana Elaine Owens (born March 18, 1970), better known by her stage name Queen Latifah, is an American rapper, singer, model and actress. Latifah's work in music, film and television has earned her a Golden Globe award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Image Awards, a Grammy Award, six additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination. Latifah was born and raised in the public housing projects of Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Rita, a schoolteacher who worked at Irvington High School, and Lancelot Owens, a policeman. Her parents divorced when Latifah was ten.

  Queens of the Stone Age is a rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. QOTSA developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music which the band's founder and mastermind Josh Homme described as 'robot rock', saying that he "wanted to create a heavy sound based on a solid jam, just pound it into your head". Since then, their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.

  Quicksilver Messenger Service

  Quicksilver Messenger Service is an American psychedelic rock band, formed in 1965 in San Francisco. Of all the bands that came out of the San Francisco area during the late 60s, Quicksilver Messenger Service typified the style, attitude and sound of that era. Dogged by early personnel changes, the original band in 1964 comprised of vocalist Dino Valenti, guitarist John Cipollina, David Freiberg on bass and vocals, Jim Murray on vocals and harmonica, and drummer Casey Sonoban. Alexander 'Skip' Spence also spent a brief time with the band, before being whisked off to join Jefferson Airplane as their drummer.

  Quiet Riot

  Quiet Riot is an american heavy metal band, whose 1983 chart topping success helped pave the way for the glam metal scene's next decade of commercial prominence. They are best known for their Metal Health album, which displaced Michael Jackson's Thriller album from the #1 chart spot. They were founded in 1975 by guitarist Randy Rhoads ( later with Ozzy Osbourne) with the original lineup featuring Kevin DuBrow (whose Steve Marriott influenced vocals powered most of their hits), as well as Kelly Garni (bass) and Drew Forsyth (drums). Their initially released albums in 1977 & 1978 featured covers of British invasion era acts The Small Faces and Dave Clark Five and were picked up for release in Japan only.

  Quietdrive

  Quietdrive is an alternative rock band based in Hopkins, Minnesota that formed in 2002. The band consists of Kevin Truckenmiller (vocals, guitar, violin bass), Will Caesar (guitar, vocals), Brice Niehaus (bass) and Brandon Lanier (drums). Quietdrive released their debut album When All That's Left Is You on May 30, 2006 on Epic Records. In April 2008, Quietdrive parted with Epic Records and released their album titled Deliverance on October 14, 2008 with the Militia Group.
