She has a problem with one eye and in her career, has worn an eyepatch, a long sideswept fringe or more recently (post c. 2000) dark glasses to conceal her eye problem.

Gabriele Ponte (or Gabry Ponte) (b. April 20th, 1973) is an Italian DJ best known for his membership in the Italian dance group Eiffel 65. Ponte has been involved with the Bliss Team, DJ Gundam, and Sangwara. With Eiffel 65's rise to fame in the late 1990's, his celebrity (or semi-celebrity) status was established, and he later went on to produce the Italian hits "Geordie" (A cover of Fabrizio de André`s song by the same name) and "La Danza delle Streghe".

Gal Costa
Gal Costa (born September 26, 1945 in Salvador, Brazil), is a popular singer in Brazil. Influenced by music from a young age by her record store owner father, Costa became one of Brazil's foremost female tropicalismo movement singers and guitar players during the late 1960s and 70s. Along with her friend Maria Bethânia, she became a political activist often coming into conflict with Brazil's government when dissent in music was censored. Fellow musician Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia's brother, introduced her to Gilberto Gil and Tom Zé in 1963, who managed to secure her a recording deal in São Paulo for her debut album Domingo with Caetano Veloso.

Galactic
It's shaping up to be a stellar year for celebrated New Orleans outfit Galactic. In 2010 the band released their groundbreaking new album Ya-Ka-May a visionary mix, intertwining New Orleans sounds from jazz to brass band to funk to bounce and far beyond. With this release, the five-man group comprised of drummer Stanton Moore, bassist Robert Mercurio, saxophonist/harmonica player Ben Ellman, keyboardist Richard Vogel, and guitarist Jeff Raines - reaffirms their status as the quintessential modern day New Orleans band and one of the funkiest outfits in the known universe. Ya-Ka-May features all-new material generated by the band in collaboration with a stellar series of New Orleans guests, who range from iconic figures of the 1960s to the younger veterans to the underground.

Galaxie 500
There are two bands with the name Galaxie 500: 1) an American alternative rock band that formed in 1987 and split in 1991 2) a francophone indie garage rock formed in 2002 in Montreal, Canada, and now known as GALAXIE 1) Galaxie 500 formed in Boston, MA in 1986 and comprised vocalist/guitarist Dean Wareham (a transplanted New Zealand native), bassist Naomi Yang and drummer Damon Krukowski, longtime friends who first met in high school in New York City before all three attended Harvard University. Wareham and Krukowski initially teamed in the short-lived Speedy and the Castanets, which was just the two of them playing a sort of mock punk; later, the duo recruited Yang to play bass. Named after a friend's car, Galaxie 500 began performing live throughout Boston and New York before recording a three-song demo tape which they sent to Shimmy Disc honcho Kramer, who agreed to become the trio's producer. In early 1988 the singleTugboat was released, followed by their full-length debut, Today.

Galliano
Galliano were a London based "acid jazz" group, formed in 1988, who were the first signing to Eddie Piller and Gilles Peterson's Acid Jazz Records. The original members were Rob Gallagher (vocals), Constatine Weir (vocals), and Crispin Robinson (percussion). Other important members include Valerie Etienne, who participated in the recording of all their CDs, along with other musicians such as Mick Talbot on keyboards and McKone Hernias on bass guitar. The band fused elements of soul, funk, hip hop and jazz.

Gallows are a hardcore punk band from Watford Hertfordshire, England, formed in 2005. They consist of Stuart Gili-Ross (bass), Laurent Barnard (guitar), Lee Barratt (drums), and Wade MacNeil (vocals). They were signed to Warner Bros. Gallows released their debut album, Orchestra of Wolves, in 2006.

Grammy and Tony-award winning composer, Galt MacDermot is best known for the music he wrote for the Broadway score of HAIR and Two Gentlemen of Verona. He garnered his first Grammy for the song, African Waltz, in 1960. His work spans the gamut of performing arts: musicals, ballet scores, film scores, chamber music, the Anglican liturgy, orchestral, poetry, drama accompaniments, band repertory and opera. Film scores include Rhinoceros, Cotton Comes to Harlem, Mistress and HAIR.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX, which he claimed to be the final album he would release, but in mid-2009 he started recording The RED Album, which was released August 23, 2011.

Gamma Ray
Founded in 1989 by Kai Hansen in Hamburg, Germany after leaving Helloween, Gamma Ray borrowed straight from the Helloween classics, and continued to pioneer Hansen's style of power metal. After four years with Helloween, Kai Hansen decided to leave the band at the height of their career. He then went on to do some studio work with Blind Guardian. Kai and his friend Ralf Scheepers from Tyran' Pace decided to start a project.
