This playlist contains some choice synthpop tracks from 1978 to 1983: the golden hour of synthpop. The songs are presented here in roughly chronological order, and although you've probably heard many of the artists hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear some lesser-know album tracks instead of the same-old-singles you're so familiar with.
Synthpop is often dismissed as soulless plastic pop, but I think in these tunes you'll hear an energy and excitement to match the wonder of the day: these songs are from the dawn of the age of the computer, when everything changed forever. As Vince Noir said, The Human League invented music: "It was just tuning up before then".
