Futurepop is electronic music that borrows from synthpop, electro, industrial, EBM and psychedelic and euphoric trance. You can think of futurepop as the middle-age between synthpop's youthful optimism and EBM's gothic fatalism: when synthpop bands want to explore their darker, deeper sides or when industrial bands want to go mainstream and score some club hits, they usually record something futurepop.
