You yearn for it for nine months (at least in Sweden) and once it is here it is already there. Gone. Behind you. In the past. And you wonder how much you actually got out of it? Why you did not take better advantage of it?

I will never understand the summer. Will you?

Fortunately I, at least, understand music. Summer makes no difference at that point. There is always time and inclination for music, there is always - in August as well as in January.

Even if the monthly list, as usual, boils over with great music, there's really only one song you really need to pick with you in August: M83's 'Midnight City' - which so far is the best track of the year.
